We believe in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit; who is perfect in holiness, wisdom, knowledge, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, He answers prayer, and He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the pre-existent, eternal Son of God, who became fully man without ceasing to be fully God. We believe Him to be the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe He lived a sinless life; and that He died a substitutionary and atoning death, was bodily resurrected, and ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for His people. We acknowledge His Lordship over all things in heaven and in earth, and under the earth. We believe in His second coming where He will visibly return to earth. We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the trinity. He is God and possesses all the divine attributes, who came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ Jesus. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the church: (1) Water Baptism by immersion in obedience to God, and for repentance, and public testimony of conversion. (Baptism does not add to our salvation in any way.)(Matthew 3:13-17, 28:18-20, 1 Peter 3:21) (2) The Lord’s Supper or Communion. (Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 3:23-28)
We believe that all people are sinners by nature, (through Adam’s one act of disobedience (Romans 5:12)), but also by their own practice (Romans 3:10-18). Therefore, they are under condemnation; spiritually dead, depraved, and slaves to sin (Romans 1:18-31, Ephesians 2:1-2). They are totally alienated from God and enemies of His. In this condition, they are unable to help themselves by their own efforts. We believe that God regenerates and transforms sinners based upon faith in the gospel of Christ and through the agency of the Holy Spirit, saving all those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. (Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9-10, Titus 3:5)
We believe that salvation is the gift of God given to humanity through His grace alone and is received by personal trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. God then justifies man based on faith alone, not of any works. (Romans 5:8-11, Romans 10:8-13, Ephesians 8-10)
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. (John 14:16-17, 16:7-11).
We believe those who have trusted Christ are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and empowered to live a godly life through submission to Him. Desiring to please God, every believer diligently strives for holiness, walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh in a lifestyle that demonstrates the character, standards, and convictions of Jesus Christ in contrast to the present world. (2 Corinthians 3: 17-18, Galatians 5:16-25, 1Peter 1:15-16)
We believe in the universal church, as the body of true born again believers of which Jesus Christ is the head, called out by the Holy Spirit, espoused to be the bride of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 4:4-16, 5:24-32)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit being manifested in the Church through the giving of spiritual gifts, and in the exercise of those Biblical gifts of the Spirit according to the instructions given to us in 1 Corinthians chapters 12-14 for the building up of the church.
We believe in the personal, imminent pre-tribulational and pre-millennial Second Coming of Jesus Christ to rapture His church and subsequently to establish His visible kingdom; and in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal judgment. That there will be a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness. (Isaiah 26:19-20, Matthew 16:27, 24:42-44, Acts 1:11, 1 Corinthians 15:50-58, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:1-11, 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 19:11-16, 20: 4-6, 20:11-15, 21:1-8.)
We believe in the creation and God as the Creator, as stated in the Biblical account. We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created then different so as to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. (Genesis 1:27-28, 2:18-25) Jesus Christ affirms this teaching in Matthew 19:4-6. For this reason, homosexual unions are unacceptable and forbidden by God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 1:26-27) We also believe that legitimate biblical sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexual activities such as, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, pre-marital sex, incest, polygamy, homosexuality, bisexuality, pedophilia, and bestiality are sinful, and are forbidden in accordance with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. (Leviticus 18:20, 22-23, Romans 1:24-28, 1 Timothy 1:9-11)
